World environment day” celebration and “Green Army” club inauguration were held on 06th June 2016 at Govt. Boys H.S.S. Chittur. The programme were organised by the ASAP students. The main objective of the programme was to facilitate the needs in conserving and protecting environment. So the theme was environment. The programme turned out to be a great success.   
Programme had started at 9.00 A.M. with a prayer, followed by environment day pledge by AnuKrishna, welcome speech by Anandha Narayanan. School coordinator Mr. Ameer Ali , Program Manager Mr. Jerin Raju Thomas shared their thoughts and feelings on the need for conservation of environment, which was followed by the performance of ASAP students.  Most of the Students actively participated. The featured entertainments were skit, mime, recitation, speech. Mime on conserving nature grabbed the audience attention and got the major appreciation. Various concepts of conservation were explained through the programmes. Quiz competition and poster making competition will follow in the next two months.

Vote of thanks was delivered by Aswin. The programme was successfully ended when School Coordinator Mr. Ameer Ali, PM Mr. Jerin Raju Thomas, SDE Ms. Princy J and students planted saplings in the school compound.

To inculcate and promote general awareness and application oriented learning, students of GBHSS Chittur, KKMHSS Vandithavalam and PPHSS Kannimari of 2018 -2019 batch were brought together at SDC chittur on 26th January   for a one day workshop programme. The programme was entitled as 'KEY'. The major objective of the programme is to have a break from academic routine. August 19 is observed as World Photography day, which aims to inspire photographers across the planet to share a single photo with a simple purpose: to share their world with the world. In relation with Photography day, Radiance ASAP club students of GBHSS Chittur conducted a mobile photography competition for the Plus one students to explore their photography skills. The competition was from 29/10/18 to 5/11/18. The entries were received through whatsapp. With the support of school management, teachers and students the programme turned out to be a great success. The winner Ajay Kumar S of plus one computer science was awarded with a trophy and certificate in the school assembly.
